How to use

This page describes how the Gasplane was to deployed for it’s primary purpose as protection against blister agents.

The instructions and photos are from the Gas Detection and Decontamination manual.

The Gasplane is removed from the pouch and by holding it by the labels or coloured squares it can be quickly unfolded.

The Gasplane is then to be thrown over the head.

At this point the user should immediately lie down with their legs pulled up under the Gasplane.

When used as a cover over suspected contaminated land the Gasplane was to be placed so a person could lay on it lengthwise.
