The pouch in this example is dated 1943 and represents an example made of cloth. Above the date, the manufactures assigned code: g d v is visible.

The Gasplane is dated December 1942 and is different to earlier examples. It is made from a material that is probably Oppanol and is noticeably heavier and bulkier than other Gasplane. The Tp\Ark markings indicate this is Gasplane is suitable for tropical or arctic environments. Of interest is the coloured square the purpose of which showed where the cape should be held when being deployed.
